We’re taking a look back at mid-January, today: This is what community looks like!
A massive thank you to Ronnie Ritter with Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry and Mayor Pat McCabe for donating 100 pounds of venison to the CRC kitchenβΌοΈ
Because of generosity like this, our guests are met with dignity, nourishment, and care.

This is Roger.
Roger has been showing up and doing the quiet work of moving his life forward. Recently, we’ve been working alongside him on self-sufficiency and next steps toward stability.
Today mattered.
Today, Roger received a new ID. Next, we’ll be helping him secure his birth certificate.
These may sound like small things, but they’re not. These documents are often the first keys to housing, employment, healthcare, and dignity.
At the CRC, progress doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it looks like paperwork, patience, and someone walking beside you for the next right step.
We’re proud of Roger and honored to be part of his journey forward.

DID YOU KNOW?
On Mondays, Kim of Anso Divine Spa brings her salon services to the CRC!
Her mission is to provide accessible, empowering hair services to underserved communities while helping restore self-esteem and well-being.
A haircut may seem small, but for someone rebuilding or seeking stability, it can make an enormous difference.

Because everyone deserves to feel confident and cared for.
Gratitude, today and always.
A BIG thank you to Hayes Riser and @riserford for leading a recent food drive benefiting the Hot Springs Community Resource Center .
What might look like donated food quickly becomes nourishment, relief, and stability for the people who rely on our services each day.
Acts like this are more than generosity… they’re reminders that our community shows up for one another. We are deeply thankful for partners who don’t just say they care, but demonstrate it through action.
Thanks so much to everyone who stands with us to help meet real needs in meaningful ways!
Can you help a local veteran stay housed and safe?
Right now, the Veteran Stability & Support Program (VSSP) has run out of funding.
This program has been doing life-changing work for veterans in our community, and we are asking those who are able to consider stepping in to help us continue it.
What does this program do?
Over the past year, VSSP has helped more than 80 local veterans secure safe housing through rapid rehousing, avoid homelessness through eviction prevention, keep their lights and water on through utility assistance, and access emergency prescriptions and other critical supports.
When urgent stressors like housing instability or financial crisis are addressed early, it prevents situations from escalating. Stability protects mental health, reduces crisis situations, and helps our veterans stay connected to their community and their future.
This work changes lives.
And right now, community support is what keeps it going.
If you feel called, please visit this link https://ddock.co/X7ZQ7H4OKK to donate and set the gift designation to: VSSP
Any and every donation helps a veteran stay safe, stable, and supported.
Thank you for being part of the care our community provides to those who have served.

Learning how to understand & manage emotions changes lives.
Our Emotional Intelligence Class is open to everyone. No registration needed! 10:30AM, every Monday at the Hot Springs Community Resource Center π€ share to spread the word.
On January 5th, something particularly meaningful took place inside the walls of The City of Hot Springs Community Resource Center
The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness’s new Wellness Day Program at the CRC.
This marks more than a partnership.
It represents an expansion of care, dignity, and daily support for members of our community who need it most.
We are deeply grateful to the Chamber for helping us celebrate what collaboration can look like when organizations move together with shared purpose.
The Wellness Day Program is now underway and will operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM on the second floor of the CRC.
The program offers structured, strength-based support for adults living with chronic mental illness or co-occurring disorders.
This is not just a wellness program in a new space.
It is a space filled with intention.
A place where daily routines, life skills, independence, and community connection are nurtured with care.
A place where people are met as whole humans, not diagnoses.
We believe real impact happens when organizations listen to the needs of a community and respond with presence, compassion, and action.
Today was a reminder of what’s possible when we do this work together!

It’s What’s Good Wednesday!
Not long ago, 83-year-old veteran Curt Cornford walked through our doors after experiencing something no one at his age, or any age, should ever face.
Curt had been scammed during the sale of his home, leaving him without a place to live. For several months, his van became his shelter, his resting place & the only sense of stability he had left.
Then Curt heard about the CRC.
That very same day, thanks to our on-site partners at Scars and Stripes Inc., Jared stepped in and immediately began connecting him to support.
Within hours, Curt was moved into emergency housing.
We are ECSTATIC to share that he was safely housed again!
This is what happens when compassion meets action!
This is what happens when nonprofits work together.
This is what happens when a community refuses to let anyone fall through the cracks…especially those who have served our country.
To Scars & Stripes Inc., thank you for standing in the gap for our veterans. Your work changes lives daily, and we are honored to have you here at the CRC.
And to Curt: once again, welcome home.
Chef Betsey has the biggest smile because…WOW! Harp’s donated a $500 Harp’s gift card to support CRC food needs! This gift will go a long way in helping us keep our shelves stocked and things running smoothly!
We’re so grateful for community partners like Harp’s who consistently show up for Hot Springs with SO MUCH heart & kindness. Your support truly makes a difference for the neighbors we serve every day.
Thank you, Harp’s! ππ«Άπ»

A little behind the scenes for you π here’s our bustling CRC kitchen! And watch for Chef Betsey turning the turkeys in the oven (for Thanksgiving) π¦π«Άπ» Thank you so much to the dedicated kitchen volunteers we are blessed to have every Monday through Friday for our free lunch…today we had the helping hands of St Luke’s Hot Springs — they dished out a yummy egg or ham salad, fresh green salad and tasty sides + dessert options. Everyone enjoyed the good food & good company!
••• Remember Robert? The man who showed up determined to rebuild his life — AND DID. He worked hard, took classes, stuck with it, and landed a job at a local restaurant.
When transportation became a barrier, YOU helped us provide him a bicycle so he could get to and from work.
Robert’s story is proof that one small act of support can change the entire direction of someone’s life.
••• Remember Pastor Julie?
Grieving an unexpected death and overwhelmed by the impossible maze of social security benefits. Ouachita Behavioral Health & Wellness stepped in, sat beside her, and stayed until every detail was handled. Sometimes the most life-changing help isn’t food or housing — it’s someone who won’t let you navigate hardship alone.
••• And now—remember Twanyea?
A father sleeping in his car with his two small children — just 2 years old and 4 years old. When he came to the CRC, everything changed. Boyce was able to get his family housed in an apartment with beds for everyone, and even dishes to help them start fresh. Because no child should ever have to sleep in a car… and no parent should face that fear alone.
π Friends, these stories are only a glimpse— just a few of the hundreds of victories, transformations, and second chances you’ve helped make possible at the CRC. But there are so many more waiting for their chance.
Today, your gift matters more than ever. Every dollar — up to $50,000 — is matched!! Every act of generosity multiplies. Every contribution becomes a story like the ones above. Please, Give today: link in bio. Help us keep hope alive, one life at a time!
At the CRC, services provided include; assistance with housing resources, employment services, educational workshops, and health initiatives. The CRC also collaborates with local organizations and city agencies to ensure residents have access to the tools they need to thrive.
Whether you're seeking support, looking to volunteer, or simply want to engage with your community, the City of Hot Springs Community Resource Center is here for you. Together, we can build a better Hot Springs!
